Singer and actress Selena Gomez was born on July 22, 1992, in Grand Prairie, Texas.
She was born to two young parents – Mandy Cornett and Ricardo Gomez. Mandy was just 16 when Selena was born.
Selena’s parents were divorced in 1997. Her mom later remarried.
Selena’s first acting role came at a young age. She played “Gianna” on “Barney & Friends” in 2001. She was on the show for two years.
In 2003 she landed a part in “Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over.”
