Goodbye snow, hello wind
Saturday's snow stuck enough across eastern Carolina for accumulations to be measured. The deepest snow was measured in Farmville at 3.8". Greenville raked in 2.0", New Bern saw closer to and inch. Jacksonville in general had about a half an inch. Most beach locations saw the snow fall, but didn't have any stick.
Sunday that storm has pushed off the coast, morphing into a strenghthening a Nor'easter. But in eastern Carolina, skies cleared fast.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation is not reporting any icy roads, although shadded areas should still be treated with caution.
Temperatures will stay in the 30's Sunday with winds racing in from the northwest. Expect gusts inland as high as 25 mph. Along coastal locations, winds could top 40 mph.
