Human Trafficking Ring Busted In Greenville

A ring leader in the Human Trafficking organization in Eastern North Carolina was arrested after a search warrant was executed at a brothel house at 5770 Highway 264 East in Greenville.
After an on-going investigation by the Pitt County Sheriff's Office, a female victim from Western North Carolina was identified and rescued.
She had been promised a cleaning job, but when she arrived, she was forced to engage in sex labor.
The victim had been held at the brothel for approximately one week.
Case workers with the Salvation Army are currently working with this victim to identify any victim service needs she may have.
Oscar Salinas-Rodriguez, 37, Kenia Susana Valdez-Gomez, 46, and Jose Machado Castro, 20, were arrested on October 28.
Vadez-Gomez and Machado Castro are charged with Solicit for Prostitution.
Both are in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond.
Salinas-Rodriguez is charged with Sexual Servitude Adult Victim, and remains in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond.
The operation involved numerous partners of the Pitt County Human Trafficking Task Force to include the Salvation Army and ICE (Immigration, Customs and Enforcement).
