An intruder in Germany was somehow able to break into Chancellor Angela Merkel's empty jet, strip down to his underwear and play around in the cockpit before being caught by police.

The 24-year-old man reached the military area of the Cologne airport, where Chancellor Angela Merkel's government jet was parked, reported The Associated Press. He then pulled down the jet engine's cover, climbed up on the wing and entered the plane through its emergency exit, which activated the emergency slide. Once inside, he took off most of his clothes, used fire extinguishers and danced around the plane by himself. The intruder, who is a bodybuilder, then reached the cockpit, where he somehow pressed an alarm button and police were alerted to the incident. When he refused to leave the plane, police entered with dogs and he was bitten twice in the leg before they could overpower him, the German news agency DPA reported. Media and police reports stated that the man seemed to have been under the influence of drugs and also had ecstasy pills in his possession when arrested.

Air force personnel have since made a complete technical check of the plane, changed the emergency exit door and held a test flight before it was put back on active duty.
