STELLA -

A Goldsboro woman died on Tuesday after rolling her car multiple times and slamming into a house.

Troopers said 52-year-old Lisa Wilson was driving 90 mph in her BMW SUV on Old Church Road around 5 p.m. The speed limit there is 45.

Al Beaujean has lived on Old Church Road for 47 years. Although officials with the Highway Patrol and DOT said Old Church Road is not known for accidents, Beaujean says he has seen several crashes right in front of his house which is just down the road from Tuesday's accident.

"It's supposed to be 45 mph on this road, but there's quite a few people who exceed that speed," Beaujean said. "It seems to me, nowadays, people don't want to slow down at all."

Wilson left the roadway at 950 Old Church Road and hit a driveway culvert. The BMW went airborne then rolled multiple times and slammed into an unoccupied house, troopers said.

She was airlifted to Vidant Medical Center where she died from her injuries.

Highway Patrol investigators think Wilson was driving erratically moments before the crash. Witnesses who were driving near Wilson before the crash said she was driving erratic and aggressively, according to Highway Patrol reports. Troopers said she might've almost ran off the road one time before the crash.

Wilson was wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident. A toxicology report is being conducted, as is standard procedure in any fatal accident.
