Two gunmen stormed through the back door of a Greenville Bojangles Sunday morning, a terrifying wake-up call for early shift employees.
Surveillance video shows at 5:16 a.m., a man charges into the kitchen, brandishing a long-barreled hand gun. In the back of the restaurant, an accomplice appears to knock a man to the ground, and shove another into an adjacent room.
The restaurant at 1632 Farmville Blvd. was robbed by four men on Nov. 17, 2011. The suspects were taken into custody, but gunmen from the latest incident are still at large.
Sunday morning, the Bojangles employees were forced into a food storage area, while the robbers took three cash boxes. Police said the money totaled around $860.
Investigators said they do not believe the incident is connected to a string of Greenville fast-food robberies last winter. The video is now available on YouTube, the latest surveillance footage posted on the G.P.D. Major Crimes Unit page.
Police spokesman Sgt. Joe Friday said one suspect is a tall black male with dreadlocks. The other suspect was described as a heavy-set black man who appears to weigh between 250 and 300 lbs. He was not wearing a mask and has a thick salt and pepper colored beard.
Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to call Detective Michael Blunt at 252-329-4176.
