Pitt Co. deputies track stolen phone to mall, trio arrested

GREENVILLE, PITT COUNTY -

Pitt County deputies arrested three men who allegedly stole a cellphone and tried to resell it.

Investigators said the iPhone was stolen during a car break-in in Washington on April 10. Deputies were able to track that phone to the Greenville Mall.

According to investigators, 19-year-old Marquise Kashawn Davis, of Rivercreek Drive in Washington, admitted to selling the phone at the etoATM in the mall.

Davis was arrested and charged with felony possession of stolen goods, felony obtaining property by false pretense, felony conspiracy to possess stolen goods, and conspiracy to obtain property by false pretense. Davis was being held at the Pitt County Detention Center under a $75,000 secured bond.

Dashon Marquise Goddard, 18, of Linda Drive in Washington, and Larry Anthony Warren, 20, of Fleta Street in Washington, were also arrested in connection with the case. They were charged with felony possession of stolen goods, felony obtaining property by false pretense, felony conspiracy to possess stolen goods, and conspiracy to obtain property by false pretense.

Goddard and Warren were being held under an an $8,000 unsecured bond and a $10,000 secured bond respectively.

In addition, Washington Police charged each suspect with two counts of felony breaking and entering to a motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny.
