Police: Armed attackers drove off in Range Rover

GREENVILLE, PITT COUNTY -

Four men, one armed with large knives, drove off in a Range Rover after attacking someone on the ECU campus early Saturday, police said.

The victim, a male, suffered cuts to his face from the attack, police said.

The victim was treated at the scene.

The attack happened just after 2:30 a.m. on Trustees Way, just north of Garrett Hall, police said.

The attackers were last seen on North Jarvis Street, police said.

A separate attack happened earlier Saturday, at approximately 1 a.m.

In that incident, at the corner of 4th Street and Student Street, a woman was able to break away from her attacker and was not injured, police said.
