GREENVILLE -

Two armed suspects were on the run Thursday after employees were held at gunpoint in a dollar store robbery in Greenville, according to Greenville Police.

Police say the incident was reported just before 10:00 p.m. Wednesday.  They're reporting two suspects entered the  Family Dollar Store on South Memorial Drive, near Arlington Blvd.   One of the suspects was armed with a stainless or silver-colored semi-auto hand gun.

There were two employees inside the store when the robbery occurred.  The suspects threatened the employees and demanded money from the cash register and the safe.  They left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Both suspects are described as black males, 18 to 20 years of age.  They were both wearing dark clothes.  One suspect had a white hockey mask on his face.  He appeared to be about 6' tall with a slender build.  The second suspect had a red bandana concealing his face.  He appeared to be about 5'10" tall with an average build.

No injuries were reported. The suspects left on foot in an unknown direction.   A police dog followed the track south to Meridian Park Apartments before it lost the scent.
