EASTERN N.C. -

After rain rolled through the region last night cold air is quickly moving in. Expect temperatures to drop quickly this morning into the 40's and winds to kick into gear. We can expect to see gusts up to 45 mph across the region today with a steady wind of about 15 mph all day.

As this storm moves through, we are under a Wind Advisory from 8 a.m. to about 10pm this evening.

the storm system that is generating all this wind will move offshore and out to sea.

Overnight tonight, temperatures may be cold enough to see a snow flurry or two up near the Virigina border. Cold air will continue to wrap in behind the storm for Thursday. Expect sunshine, but highs staying in the 50's and winds still blowing at about 15 mph.

Winds don't completely settle down until Thursday night into Friday.
