Eastern Carolina saw its first snow of the season Tuesday night.
There was minor accumulation on cold surfaces such as cars and patio furniture. The heaviest snow fell between 6:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.
As of Wednesday morning, the storm front had moved off the coast.
No travel problems were expected Wednesday morning because the ground temperatures were above freezing. However, use caution on bridges and overpasses, where the roads might be slick.
Moving into Wednesday afternoon, expect blustering cold and record-setting temperatures.
