The ride operator accused in connection with an accident at the North Carolina State Fair is free on bond.

The News & Observer of Raleigh reports that records show 46-year-old Timothy Dwayne Tutterrow left the Wake County jail on Monday. That was the same day that a judge on Monday reduced Tutterrow's bond from $225,000 to $100,000 at the request of Wake County District Attorney Colon Willoughby.

Tutterrow was operating the Vortex ride in October when it suddenly spun into motion as people were trying to get off, seriously injuring three people.

Ride owner Joshua Gene Macaroni is also was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of assault on a juvenile with a deadly weapon. He is also free on $225,000 bond.
