Man accused of shooting 2 women jailed on $200K bond

GOLDSBORO, WAYNE COUNTY -

A man has been arrested for allegedly shooting and injuring two women in Wayne County.

According to the Goldsboro Police Department, 19-year-old James Nathan Crawford Jr. is accused of shooting Shelly and Linda Turner on the 2,000 block of S. Slocumb St. at about 6 p.m. on Jan. 31.

The victims, both of Goldsboro, were taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where they underwent surgery, said police. One was listed as stable and the other was listed as satisfactory.

A third victim, Daniel Turner, suffered minor injuries, and was treated and released from the hospital, according to investigators.

Crawford, of Goldsboro, has been charged with two counts each of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, and  robbery with a dangerous weapon. He is being held under a $200,000 bond.

Police said the victims know the suspect.
