SNEADS FERRY, ONSLOW COUNTY -

Deputies said an Onslow County man committed sex crimes against two 4-year-old boys.

David Allen John Wells, 19, of Sneads Ferry, turned himself in on Thursday, investigators said. He has been charged with two counts first-degree sex offense against a child, two counts of crime against nature, and three counts of indecent liberties with a child.

"Your thoughts are with people whose children have been abused regardless if it's sexual or however they've been abused," said Onslow County Sheriff Ed Brown. "In this case, the parents of the abused children had no knowledge of this going on til after it went on."

According to deputies, the suspect committed the sex crimes against the two 4-year-old boys from May 18 to June 12.

Wells was jailed under a $110,000 secured bond. He's expected back in court July 18 for a probable cause hearing.
