North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory is staying out west for a couple more days.
McCrory's office said the governor is attending the Republican Governors Association annual meeting in Tempe, Ariz., starting late Tuesday with a reception and dinner. The event is closed to the public. McCrory attended the meeting last year when he was governor-elect.
McCrory began the week in California, visiting Monday the headquarters of Google and Facebook and holding a question-and-answer session using his Facebook page. Both companies have made investments in North Carolina through data centers. McCrory said after the Q-and-A that he also had an economic development meeting to attend.
The governor's office said McCrory will be returning to Raleigh early Thursday.
