Police and deputies said they arrested two Lenoir County men on a slew of drug and weapon charges.
The Kinston Police Department and the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office searched a home at 511 Greenmeade Drive in Kinston Wednesday. While there, officers recovered 4.5 ounces of crack cocaine, 1 once of marijuana, numerous drug paraphernalia, a stolen .45 caliber handgun, and $5,880 in cash, investigators said.
The man who lives at the home, 29-year-old Nathaniel Roberts, was arrested, along with 30-year-old Timothy Vaughn, of Nelson Street in Kinston.
Roberts and Vaughn have both been charged with conspiring to traffic cocaine, trafficking in cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance, police said. In addition, Roberts has been charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a stolen firearm.
Roberts was placed into the Lenoir County Jail under a $255,000 bond. Vaughn was being jailed under a $130,000 bond.
