KINSTON, LENOIR COUNTY -

Kinston Police are looking for three people who attacked a man Sunday afternoon.

The victim, Elijahuan Harper, was either shot in the head, or hit in his head; it was unclear exactly how the man suffered the trauma to his head, authorities said.

Police say Harper was at a home on the 100 block of S. Rochelle Blvd., just before 5 p.m.

Harper told police that three men got out of a white car and forced him into the home at gunpoint, and that they were there for a robbery.

The victim would not tell police what the men wanted, an investigator said.

After the victim suffered the trauma to the head, the men left, police said.

Harper went to a neighbor's home to call for help, and was alert and talking to investigators.

Harper was flown to a Greenville hospital, and treated and released.
