Police identify suspect in Jacksonville tobacco shop heist

Jacksonville Police have identified the suspect wanted in an armed robbery at a tobacco shop.
Investigators said they are looking for 18-year-old Christopher Lee Petteway, Jr., of Midway Park.
According to police, Petteway entered Emily's Tobacco Shop, at the Piney Green Shopping Center on Freedom Way, at about 7:50 p.m. Tuesday. The suspect asked for cigarettes, then pointed a silver revolver at the clerk and demanded cash from the register, investigators said. The employee was not hurt.
Petteway escaped on foot, according to police. He is described as being about 5'11" and 160 pounds. Petteway is wanted on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault by pointing a gun, and felony possession of stolen property.
Jacksonville Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect to contact Detective Anthony Ramirez at 910-938-6440 (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Crimestoppers at 910-389-3273. The group is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest. Callers can remain anonymous.
