KINSTON, LENOIR COUNTY -

Police said a man broke into a Lenoir County adult store to steal several blow-up dolls and pornographic magazines.

According to investigators, 27-year-old Wallace Gibbs Eubanks broke into the Oz store, at 1602 W. Vernon Ave. in Kinston, at about 12:39 a.m. Sunday. The suspect allegedly caused about $400 in damage to the door. Eubanks then stole three blow-up dolls, valued at $128, and 12 pornographic magazines, police said.

Surveillance video of the incident, which the store owner would not allow NewsChannel 12 to record, showed a man sneaking in through a broken glass door and quickly picking items off of racks, before leaving.

Investigators said they found Eubanks inside a car behind the store. The stolen items were recovered.

Eubanks was arrested and charged with felony breaking and entering, and felony breaking and entering with larceny afterward. The suspect was being held in jail under a $10,000 bond.

Eubanks was intoxicated at the time of the crime, according to a police report.

No one answered the door at Eubanks' listed address.
