DUPLIN COUNTY -

Damage is being reported in Duplin County as Friday afternoon's storm system rolls through Eastern Carolina.

Duplin County Emergency Manager Reid Sutherland said power is out in Kenansville. It's the result of the storm, but there is no word on whether it was caused by winds, falling tree limbs or some other factor.

A tree also reportedly landed on a house in Teachey. NewsChannel 12 has a reporter on the way to the scene. There is no word on the extent of damage or injuries.

A Tornado Watch was issued for all of Eastern Carolina, but it has since been canceled for Duplin County. (READ MORE).
