Victim ID'ed in Greene County shooting, suspects at large

Authorities have identified the man shot during an attempted robbery in Greene County Thursday. According to investigators, the victim's attackers are still at large.
Sheriff Lemmie Smith said Brandon Scott was walking on Banks Road off Highway 258 at about 5 p.m. Thursday, when four black males approached him and asked for directions The suspects then tried to rob the victim before shooting him twice- in the leg and across the chest, Sheriff Smith said.
Scott was being treated at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. He was expected to be okay.
The four suspects escaped in a small black vehicle with no license plate, and were heading toward Snow Hill, said Sheriff Smith.
