Deputies: Suspects had outstanding warrants in high speed chase

We talked with a deputy directly involved in a 15-mile high speed chase in Pamlico County to get the facts right.
Erica Lloyd and Ralph Kinnion Jr., who are listed as being in a relationship on Facebook, led Pamlico County deputies on a chase through the Kennel Beach area of the county, authorities said. Both Lloyd and Kinnion are 21 years old.
Lloyd faces a long list of charges including fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle and possession with the intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance, plus littering not more than 15 pounds. She's also accused on a list of other vehicle violations as well. She had an warrant out for her arrest but it wasn't exactly clear what she was originally charged with.
Kinnion has the lesser charges of the two which includes resisting public officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, and he had outstanding warrants for injury to personal property and simple assault.
A couple's night out in Pamlico County turned into a high-speed police chase, according to authorities.

Sheriff Billy Sawyer did not know why the chase began.
Sawyer said that, when deputies tried to apprehend both suspects, they tried to take off running. Deputies were able to take both 21 year olds into custody, and no one was hurt in the incident.
Sawyer added that deputies found drugs in the suspects' possessions.
