Missing Duplin County man found in Virginia

FAISON, DUPLIN COUNTY -

The search for a missing Duplin County man has been called off.

The Silver Alert for Percy Hobbs was cancelled by the Duplin County Sheriff's Office at 8:31 P.M. on Thursday. Deputies told us Hobbs was found in the state of Virginia.

The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a missing endangered man last seen in Duplin County.

Citizens are asked to be on the lookout for Percy Hobbs, who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment, according to the Center for Missing Persons.

Hobbs was last seen on Strawberry Patch Road in Faison, and he may be traveling to Goldsboro, the Center for Missing Persons stated.

Hobbs is an 84-year-old African American man. He is 6 feet tall, 160 pounds, and was last seen wearing a blue/black jacket and a ball cap. He may be in a white 1987 Ford Crown Victoria with license plate number VXD-4941.
