HIGH POINT, N.C. -

A High Point University poll finds that most North Carolinians are not happy with President Barack Obama and Gov. Pat McCrory.

According to the poll, only 39 percent of state residents approve of President Obama and Gov.McCrory's job performance. The same survey also shows U.S. Senators Kay Hagan and Richard Burr have job approval ratings of 40 and 36 percent, respectively.

In addition, the poll found that 69 percent of those surveyed believe the country is on the wrong track. This is compared to the 20 percent of North Carolina residents who believe the country is heading in the right direction.

The poll surveyed 408 N.C. adults between Sept. 8 to 12, according to the university.

The latest results show a drop in support for Obama and McCrory compared to the spring, when 43 percent surveyed approved the president while 49 percent approvedĀ  the governor.
