GREENVILLE, PITT COUNTY -

Deputies have arrested a man for allegedly flagging down a car, getting inside the vehicle, and robbing the driver at gunpoint. But a second suspect is still at large.

Dontarius Marquise Barrett, 20, of Blue Eyes Road in Bethel, was taken into custody Monday morning at Cypress Sands Mobile Home Park.

According to investigators, Barrett and another man flagged down the car of Andre Wade at about 8 p.m. Friday at 1700 Van Ness Ave. in Greenville. The suspects then allegedly entered Wade's vehicle, pointed a gun at the victim's head, and ran off with the victim's wallet containing $250.

Barrett is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. He is being held under a $250,000 bond at the Pitt County Detention Center.

Meanwhile, the second suspect in Friday's armed robbery is still on the run, according to deputies.

Barrett is also facing charges out of Bertie County, including first-degree burglary, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, larceny after breaking and entering, discharging a weapon, possession of stolen goods, and possession of a weapon of mass destruction.
