Traffic moving after train clips truck in downtown New Bern

Traffic into downtown New Bern is moving again after a train clipped a truck Monday morning.
According to Colleen Roberts, the public information officer with the City of New Bern, the collision happened Monday morning on the 200 block of Hancock Street.
Officials said people were moving furniture from a house into a Penske truck. But the vehicle was parked a little too far out and was clipped by a train. The collision caused the roll-up door frame of the truck to bend and damaged the handrail of the locomotive.
Traffic into downtown was blocked from the west, but is now moving again, Roberts said.
North Carolina railroad investigators will be handling this incident, said Roberts. The City of New Bern was providing some mutual aid to contain the scene and detour drivers.
