Troopers: 91-year-old man, another driver injured in wreck

BRIDGETON, CRAVEN COUNTY -

A 91-year-old man pulled out in front of a vehicle, causing a wreck that injured him and another driver, according to the Highway Patrol.

The wreck happened at the intersection of Highway 17 and Old Vanceboro Road in Bridgeton Friday afternoon. Troopers said 91-year-old John Paul Fox, of New Bern, pulled his van out in front of 26-year-old Bradley Anderson Gray, of Greenville, who was driving a white Jaguar.

Gray was airlifted to Vidant Medical Center with facial and leg injuries, said troopers. There was no word on his condition.

Fox was taken to CarolinaEast Medical Center with minor injuries, troopers said. At last check, no charges had been filed.
