WILLIAMSTON, MARTIN COUNTY -

Williamston Police are looking for any suspects in connection with the murder of a 19-year-old in Martin County.

Timothy Lloyd Baylor III, also known as Wiz to friends, leaves behind a 3-month-old son.

Police got a call that someone had been shot near Martin Street in Williamston just before 10 Friday night. The 19-year-old suffered from a gun shot wound and died at a hospital, according to police.

Wiz's older sister, Sasha Swain said she doesn't know why this happened to her brother.

"I'm sorry they had to do that, but whoever did it I wish you would come forward just to give us a little closure," Swain said.

Friends of Wiz said they were coming back from a store Friday night when they saw a lot of police cars in front of their home on the 200 block of Martin Street.

They said they found Wiz laying on the ground, and that he had been shot one time. Wiz's friends planted memorial flowers in the spot where he fell.

Swain said if she could see her brother again she would hug him and tell him she loved him. She said he was always fun to be around.

"He always got people laughing. He was such a clown," Swain said.

The State Bureau of Investigation is working with Williamston Police to help solve this murder.
