After rolling past St. Augustine's Thursday, the Trojans faced their biggest road test of the season at Belmont Abbey. In the opener Saturday, Mount Olive got a complete game, 11-strikeout performance from pitcher Matt Dillon in a 6-2 win. The game was called in the eighth due to weather, pushing game two of the scheduled doubleheader to Sunday.
On Sunday, Alex Regan took a perfect game into the fifth before settling for a complete game six-hitter and a 7-4 win. In the nightcap, Mike Mercurio and Geno Escalante each had four hits and the Trojans built a 10-0 lead through three innings in a 14-4 win.
The sweep makes the Trojans 6-0 this season against ranked teams. Earlier this season, Mount Olive swept a three-game series against LeMoyne, ranked No. 19 at the time.
