Ray Rice collected 106 total yards and scored a pair of touchdowns as host Baltimore held off Dallas to win for the fourth-straight time.

The Cowboys fought back in the final minutes and recovered an onside kick to set themselves up for a potential game-winning score. But Dan Bailey’s 51-yard field goal attempt sailed just left of the upright with two seconds left.

Things started to swing in Baltimore’s favor midway through the second quarter when Rice caught a check-down pass and took it 43 yards down to the 2-yard line. Rice then scored on a 1-yard run a few plays later to knot it at 10-10. Cary Williams then picked off Tony Romo on the ensuing possession, setting up an 80-yard drive that ended with Joe Flacco finding Torrey Smith for a 19-yard touchdown giving the Ravens a 17-10 lead heading into halftime.

Jacoby Jones matched an NFL record when he broke free early in the third quarter on a kickoff return, streaking through a hole in the middle of the field and angling to the right sideline for a 108-yard touchdown and a 24-13 lead.

Rice capped a long drive with another 1-yard score to put Baltimore back in control, 31-23, with 4:49 to play but Romo guided Dallas right back. Romo converted a pair of fourth downs on an 18-play drive and hit Dez Bryant with a touchdown pass with 36 seconds left. Bryant, however, dropped the potential tying two-point conversion attempt.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray rushed for 90 yards on 13 carries in the first half but suffered a sprained foot late in the second quarter and managed only one more carry after the break. Felix Jones ended up with 92 yards on 18 carries and a touchdown as Dallas piled up 227 yards on the ground. … Dallas rookie CB Morris Claiborne left the game with 41 seconds left in the first half after suffering a left knee injury. … Flacco completed 17 of 26 passes for 234 yards and a touchdown for the Ravens.
