DENVER -

Former New Bern high school and UNC star Adam Warren picked up his first major league victory Thursday afternoon in the Yankees 3-1 win in Denver, Colorado.

The right handed reliever took over for Former K-Triber C.C. Sabathia because of a long rain delay.  Warren started the 5th inning and pitched one and 2/3rds innings.  He  walked two batters but did not allow a run and it was good enough for the official scorers at Coors Field to give him his first win in his brief Major League career.

Warren also drops his era for the season to 1.84.
