A judge sentenced two women to supervised probation for stealing several rolls of lottery tickets from a New Bern insurance office and cashing in the rewards.
District Attorney Scott Thomas says Chelsea Hodges, 27, and Kanesha Blango, 21, broke into Grady & Grady Insurance in November 2012 , stole the tickets and scratched them off.
Thomas says the women stopped at several convenience stores between New Bern and Oriental to collect the cash prizes, which amounted to several hundred dollars.
Both must pay restitution along with court fees.
